Seaside Sauna and Shore
By the shore, there is an old but renovated wood-fired sauna and a large jetty. Around the property, you will also find quiet corners for reading, resting or simply enjoying the view. The sloping plot has terraces and seating areas both in front of the house and further down towards the shore. On the terrace and balcony, there are also lovely spots for morning coffee with a sea view.
Seaside Sauna
The sauna building, located almost over the sea, consists of a sauna lounge of approximately 9 m² and a sauna of the same size. The sauna has a new Harvia Legend 300 wood-burning stove with a fireplace, weighing no less than 360 kg. There is room for the whole group to enjoy the heat together. The L-shaped sauna benches are almost three metres wide.
From the sauna, you can step directly out onto the terrace and the jetty to cool down. The jetty has swimming steps. The shore is deep, so swimming is suitable only for confident swimmers.
In the sauna lounge, you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere and the beautiful sea views. There is also an extra bed. The sauna building does not have separate heating, but it is insulated. The sauna can be used all year round, but please note that it has no running water.
In summer, water can be taken from the outdoor tap on the side wall of the house using a hose. In winter, water must be carried from inside the house so that the pipes do not freeze. Seawater must not be used for throwing water on the sauna stove or for filling the water heater.
What you can do by the shore
Around the shore and garden, you can find your own peaceful corner for reading or relaxing. The sloping plot offers several terraces and seating areas both near the house and lower down towards the water. The terrace and balcony are also perfect places for morning coffee and enjoying the scenery.
Guests have access to a brand-new rowing boat called Roosa. You can also go stand-up paddleboarding.
If you bring your own boat or kayak, it can be launched from the guest harbour in Houtsala, where there is a ramp for this purpose.
